Heart-Piersing : Piers Morgan’s CNN Show Cancelled Due To Poor Ratings

share on:

Popular TV personality Piers Morgan’s Tonight show on CNN is set to be cancelled due to poor ratings.

Morgan had succeeded former host Larry King about 3 years ago, but hadn’t lived up to his predecessor’s ratings, party due to his aggressive stance on issues like gun control.

CNN itself has confirmed an end to the show, saying “CNN confirms that Piers Morgan Live is ending. The date of the final program is still to be determined.”

The outspoken host had, in an interview with the New York Times, agreed to the flailing state of the show.

“Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarising, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it,” he said.

His criticism of America”s gun laws really pitted him against many Americans, with tens of thousands even signing a petition that he be deported from the States.
