Has Kanye West Dumped D’banj?

share on:

It seems D’banj has parted ways with his international label, Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music.

The name of Ye’s outfit, which used to be present in D’banj’s Twitter bio, is no longer there.

D’banj had signed with G.O.O.D music in June of 2011, a deal that had started his ‘beef’ with Don Jazzy and ultimately led to their separation.

  1. If this is true, then Its ok! Maybe the contract duration has expired! Contracts don’t last forever! And if u would like to know, D’banj made History with Kanye West and G.O.O.D Music; Being the first African/Nigerian to be signed under the label, D’banj was also able to achieve 24 Million plus views on Youtube on Oliver Twist Video which was released under G.O.O.D. Music and Making him the first Nigerian to have achieved that! Through the label, D’banj was able to sign other Record Deals which are obviously still on; e.g; Sony Music, Def Jam, MI7Records and others! Then D’banj also got the chance to mingle nd collaborate with Label mates and others in the Global music market and also became first home based Nigerian to be featured in an international group/label album! So many other achievements he made under G.O.O.D Music actually! D’banj recently released his new 2nd international song “BOTHER YOU” to follow up the first global track ‘Oliver Twist’ and the Bother You song is a project under MI7Records and D’banj’s DKM Media. Well, all the same, i wish D’banj and the Label all the best in their Seperate ways and I wish them more success!!! And special thanks to D’banj for keeping the Africa/Nigerian Flag flying!

  2. He is the most successful Nigerian(not sure of Africa)musician for now. Probably the most influential afropop musician in Africa… Caus Kenye will just be an addition after his achievements so far.
