Harold Ramis

Harold Ramis who brought us movies such as Ghostbusters which he co-created with Dan Aykroyd, Groundhog Day and Analyze This died earlier today in his home in Chicago at the age of 69 from complications relating to auto-immune inflammatory vasculitis.

The actor who is most famous for playing Egon Spengler in the 1984 hit movie Ghostbusters and it’s sequel Ghostbusters II in 1989 didn’t appear in too many movies as he spent more time behind the camera however the movies he did appear in were quite good. The last movie he worked on was Jack Black’s Year One which was released in 2009 and had reportedly reportedly signed on for Ghostbusters III.

Harold Ramis as Egon Spengler in Ghostbusters

Rest in Peace Harold Ramis, one of the men behind one of the greatest movies ever made – Ghostbusters I & II, and thanks for the memories.
