David Guggenheim, writer of the 2012 thriller Safe House is reportedly in talks to write a script for the 3rd part of hit franchise Bad Boys, which would see the hilarious duo of Martin Lawrence and Will Smith grace our screens again.

Deadline reports the studio hopes the two actors will reprise their roles as Miami narcotics detectives.

The 1995 directorial debut of Michael Bay, the $19 million Bad Boys grossed $141 million worldwide, to be followed in 2003 by a sequel, which raked in $273 million on a $160 million budget.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is returning for the project, but it’s unknown whether Bay is in the mix.
