Just last week, the one and only Lady of Pop, Lady Gaga was confirmed as the face of luxury brand, Versace’s spring/summer 2014.
Donatella, the brand’s creative director, said: “I am honoured that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign. I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA.” of the new collaboration.
The doyenne of Versace’s empire also went on to say “Lady Gaga completely captures the Versace essence: creative, experimental, fearless”.
And from Lady Gaga’s past fashion antics, one couldn’t agree with Donatella more about her new muse. This collaboration is bound to be explosive.
As Lady Gaga is known to take her role as a walking billboard over and beyond the ordinary, the 27year old pop star, arrived at the last American Music Awards on a white charger (see picture below) – Lol. Waving like a queen in complete head to toe Versace look as worn in the first released campaign look for spring/summer 2014.
I don’t think there is a better muse than Gaga for the Versace brand. Watch this space.
