Meet Nigeria’s Youngest Celebrity Stylist – SwankyJerry of Life!

share on:

Stylist.  Club Owner.  Designer. He is the man behind SwankySignatures.

Jeremiah Ogbodo a young Nigerian making a name for himself – standing tall at 6ft, the 22 year old Jerry or SwankyJerry as he maybe known has stood out without a doubt in Nigeria’s fashion scene.

In little over a year, Jerry has accomplished so much in so little time – styling some of the biggest household names in Nigeria’s movie and music industry, Tonto Dikeh(personal stylist), Majid Michel, Iyanya, Ice Prince, MI, Yung L, Timaya, Don Jazzy, D’Prince, Davido, 2face, Annie Macaulay, Ini Edo, Ik Ogbonna, Toke Makinwa, Waje, Emma Nyra and the list goes on.

SwankyJerry also has a mini clothing line – customised for his clients only under the brand name Swanky Signatures. Looking through his clientèle list and his swanky touch of glamour and style on each of his clients, its no wonder he has become quite well-known in such a little time.

Jerry has worked with his clients on music videos, movies, red carpet appearances, TV adverts, TV shows you name it, Swanky has left his signature everywhere.  There is no ‘IT’ event without SwankyJerry – either some of the stars are wearing Swanky’s Signatures or they will have been styled by Swanky’s Signature styling.

Revered for his craft, the young man was invited to Nigeria Entertainment Awards in New York, Sept 2013, as one of the main stylists for the major event. He is also responsible for Davido’s look in the ‘All of You’ video, Official stylist for VHS for 18 weeks, the man behind House of Maliq’s latest hottest covers featuring Iyanya and Emma Nyra, styling Freeze of Cool Fm and the Vonne couture collection

There is no denying that Swanky’s signature and styles have taken over the West African scene in 2013.

When asked earlier today during a phone interview how he felt about making such big waves at such a young age, the soft spoken Jeremiah said, ” It feels good trust me, it was not easy from the beginning, but it sure is paying off now and i am enjoying the fruits of my labour.”

He has promised us nothing but the best and asked us to keep a keen eye out there for more of his work. His most recent milestone is a trendy club in  Lekki, Lagos called Alibi which opened early October 2013 – always star studded and you are almost sure of bumping into your favorite celebrity.
