It’s OFFICIAL!!: Samsung unveils the Galaxy Grand 2 [Everything you need to Know]

share on:

A big phone usually comes with a big price tag, but Samsung is still committed to expanding options at the more affordable end of the market. The company just announced the Galaxy Grand 2 with mid-range specs and an emphasis on media.

Samsung has thrown yet another new device into the pot with this, the Galaxy Grand 2. The successor to the original Grand sees an upgrade in hardware specs, but it’s still a good looking Mid-range device

The 5.2-inch display has a resolution of 1280×720, and underneath Android 4.3 is pushed along by a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU,The processor is likely a Snapdragon 200 model from Qualcomm and 1.5GB of RAM. On-board storage is limited to just 8GB but there is at least a microSD card slot to go with that, and a reasonably sized 2600mAh battery.

Round the back there’s an 8MP camera, and since the Galaxy Grand 2 is running the latest version of Touchwiz, a bunch of Samsung’s own apps and services can be found on the Grand 2 including S-Translator, S-Travel and the Samsung Hub. As you can see the Grand 2 is an all-around improvement over its predecessor.

The Galaxy Grand 2 will come in black, white or pink in selected regions, and comes in a dual-SIM variety (ERR..Tecno,coughs..) . There is no word on price or availability of The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 yet.

  1. Here’s my advice. It seems cheap but you will exhaust it before you’re started, just vex and buy an s4 or even an s3 sef

  2. I agree with you – “A big phone usually comes with a big price tag”. Though Samsung has not quoted the exact price, it is said to be priced in India between Rs 22,900 – Rs 24,900. The device will be available in the market in the first week of January 2014.
