TAE has been known in time past as the bead princess with her collections made up of beading and other forms of embellishments of print cotton popularly known as ‘ANKARA’ , now she has made a massive comeback after 7 years to the runway with a total deviation form the usual by launching her own customized print on Silk Chiffon. The collection was inspired from the sights and sounds of Morocco and aptly named Sensual Al-Maġrib.
Tae’s spring/summer 2014 Sensual Al-Maġrib collection also takes primary inspiration from an architecture shaped by centuries of cultural and religious influences.
The ubiquitous mosaic designs, found on every thing from the imposing arches and domes of mosques, to furniture and crockery, combine vibrant red and orange hues reminiscent of African sunsets with vivid contrasts of yellow, green and blue that form the Casablanca landscape.
The fluidity of the collection evokes languid, sensual nights suffused with the heady, stimulating scents of herbal teas, delicate spices and African cuisine.
A beautiful collection – enjoy.
