One Mic UK returns for a second Afrobeats Special edition, featuring explosive performances from some of the hottest Afrobeats artists of the year. Following the massive success of the first Afrobeats Special in July 2013, this second edition comes to the prestigious Jazz Café in London on Sunday 17th November. Sponsored by DLA UK and hosted by Choice FM’s DJ Abrantee, this event will be a night not to be missed and promises to be even bigger and better that the last!
Afrobeats music has grown rapidly over the past 12 months, not only in the UK, but globally too. From receiving huge airplay across major radio stations such as Capital FM, Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1 to being watched by millions on Youtube and MTV to being represented at big Summer festivals like the Wireless Festival and BBC Radio 1 Hackney Weekender, Afrobeats music continues to prove that it is capable of producing real stars with global appeal.
Gracing the stage will be the Queen of Afrobeats herself, May7ven.
