If there is any doubt that Queen Salawa Abeni still has what it takes to get a crowd moving and shaking then you obviously weren’t at her explosive performance at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.
On Thursday 19th September during the 11th London African Music Festival Queen Salawa Abeni teamed up with the Yoruba Women Choir to perform in front of a packed auditorium.
Queen Salawa danced, jumped and sang all across the stage as if she was 13 years old all over again. She sang with great passion and excitement as if she were performing as a new artist for the first time.
The wonderful Yoruba Women Choir did a great job not only backing Queen Salawa up, but also giving a great set themselves and having the crowd rocking in their seats to melodious praise and worship songs.
The ladies danced the night away and also shared the stage with Wale Thompson who performed a few hits and a couple of Fuji style praise and worship songs.
Queen Salawa ended the night beautifully with an acapella with the women choir.
A great time was had by all as the crowd took in the sweet vibes that filled the room throughout the night. Enjoy the pictures below.
