The New York Knicks have presented Nigeria’s D’Tigers star Ike Diogu with a chance to return to the NBA, offering him a 1-year non-guaranteed contract, if he can impress enough to clinch the team’s 15th player spot.
Ike Diogu is a 30 year old power forward/center from Buffalo, New York. He stands 6’9″ and weighs 255 pounds. He was drafted ninth overall by the Golden State Warriors in the 2005 NBA Draft.
Diogu played for the Warriors from 2005-07, the Indiana Pacers from 2007-08, the Portland Trail Blazers from 2008-09, the Sacramento Kings in 2009, the Los Angeles Clippers from 2010-11 and the San Antonio Spurs in 2012.
Diogu then headed overseas and played for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in China in 2012, the Capitanes de Arecibo in Puerto Rico in 2012, the Guangdong Southern Tigers in China from 2012-13 and the Leones de Ponce in Puerto Rico since 2013.
