After only three days of availability, the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C have already combined to reach 9 million handsets sold, Apple said in a recent statement. The figure makes the latest iPhone launch the most successful yet, topping last year’s iPhone 5 debut by about 4 million.
Apple is also touting the high adoption rate of iOS 7, which has made its way to 200 million iPhone users since it was released last Thursday, September 18th. That again tops last year’s figure, when 100 million updated to iOS 6 in the same timespan.
What Apple didn’t announce was the exact breakdown between the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, but it’s safe to say maybe the demand for the 5C was trumped by that for 5S.
