Last night saw the UK premiere of the hit romantic Nollywood movie, ‘Flower Girl’ at the North Greenwich Odeon Cinema in London. Stars of the movie came out looking dazzling and celebrities and fans came out to show their full support.
The red carpet was buzzing and people were excited to see the actors. Women were even screaming as they saw their favourite stars.
A host of celebrities came out to enjoy the film, including Wale Ojo, Damilola Adegbite who plays Kemi in the film, Chris Attoh who plays Umar in the movie, chief executive for the film Moses Babatope, producer and director of Flower Girl Michelle Bello, football star Evan Ikoku, Steven Soje and the BEFTA 2013 nominated dance trio, the D3 Dancers all graced the occasion.
Once seated and the movie started rolling, the audience filled the theatre with laughter at the hilarious jokes throughout the movie.
Flower girl is centred on a shy and somewhat childish florist Kemi (Damilola Adegbite), who is desperate to tie the knot with her long time boyfriend Umar (Chris Attoh). Umar who is focused on his career, breaks up with Kemi. Now devastated and desperate to win him back, Kemi teams up with a Tunde Kulani (Chuks Chuckwujekwu), a famous Nollywood actor in a plot to win him back. As you can imagine, what unfolds is outright hilarious. The film addresses the issue of young women in a rush to get married but not ready for the responsibility of the commitment it takes to make a marriage work.
The movie ended with a Q&A session in which fans got to ask the stars all their burning questions from what they wore to how much it cost to make the movie.
The night ended with an after party as the stars and supports tore up the dance floor and had a great time.
Flower girl is a film worth watching so make sure you go out and support and get a good laugh out of this hilarious comedy. It hits selected cinemas officially on the 4th October 2013. Enjoy the fabulous pictures below.
