FG Denies Ordering 53 Gold Plated iPhones; UK Newspaper Retracts Statement

The Federal Government, through the Presidency’s Special Assistant on New Media, Reno Omokri, has denied the popular rumor that the Presidency ordered 53 gold-plated iPhones to mark the country’s anniversary.

The statement was issued on social media site, Twitter.

 

The UK’s Independent newspaper has retracted it’s statement that the Nigerian government ordered 53 Gold phones to celebrate independence while interviewing the founder of Gold and Co, Amjad Ali
