The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took their first steps into the public since the birth of their sun yesterday afternoon. A crowd of press and well wishers surrounded the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital to get a glimpse of the baby.
The young family looked picture perfect as they posed outside the hospital and answered questions from the press. When asked of how the baby is doing so far, Prince William said, “He’s got a good pair of lungs on him that’s for sure, he’s a big boy, he’s quite heavy. But we’re still working on a name so we’ll have that as soon as we can. It’s the first time we’ve seen him really so we are having a proper chance to catch up.”
Kate who was looking radiant also said, “It’s very emotional. It’s such a special time, I think any parent will know what this feeling feels like.”
William acknowledged how much of a frenzy the baby had caused and how long the public had been waiting for the arrival of his son by saying, “Hopefully the hospital and you guys can all go back to normal now and we can look after him.”
He also teased, “He’s got her looks thankfully”.
The couple revealed that Prince William has already changed the first nappy before going back into the hospital to prepare to leave.
Prince William fixed the car seat in the back of the car and wiped his forehead in relief before waving a final goodbye to the crowd and driving home with his wife and son intact.
