Top Nigerian comedian, Julius Agwu, is set to host his widely acclaimed show, ‘Crack Ya Ribs’ for the first time at the famous London Indigo O2 on 23 August, 2013.
The award winning comedian who recently launched his autobiography titled Jokes Apart will lead top African live stand-up comedians including Bovi, Akpororo, Funny Bone, Senator, Dan D Humourous and UK’s leading African comedian Eddie Kadi to entertain Londoners, ending the summer holidays on a comical note. Other key performers on the night will include Nigeria’s hottest star Kcee and UK Afrobeats artist Moe Logo who is currently play-listed on Choice FM with his hit single Mary J.
The decision to move the annual Crack Ya Ribs show to such a big venue stems from Julius Agwu turning 40 earlier this year. When asked about the newly rebranded show, Julius commented “things ought to be done differently this year. I have re-packaged and renewed the concept of the show to bring back that flavour that made it a first class comedy show in the UK for the past seven years.”
Previous shows have featured great entertainers’ from West Africa such as M.I and D’banj. As well as being a regular event in London, the show has also been introduced in New York and Glasgow. This year’s Crack Ya Ribs will also take place in Manchester on 25 August 2013.
