“Labo” is a multi-lingual, Afro-Caribbean, British movie based on a family battle for cultural supremacy. It’s emphasized on family issues, relationships and marriage between two foreigners and young offenders living abroad.
“Labo” speaks to migrants/Africans in the Diaspora as a reminder that there is no place like home. As time passes it becomes easy to immerse yourself in western culture and lose your sense of tradition as you grasp unto a foreign way of life. The movie portrays the life of a Mixed Diasporan husband who decides to relocate back to his home country, convinced his adult children and foreign wife to relocate with him.
