Chivas Top 100 Men in Nigeria was held on Thursday the 4th of July, at the very new luxury 5-star hotel, Intercontinental Hotel Lagos in Victoria Island. The celebration and launch of the Chivas Regal brand in Nigeria by Pernod Ricard was witnessed by some of the powerful and well established men in Nigeria not missing out on the selected women and members of the media on hand to add colour to the event.
We lived with Chivalry with the following men celebrated as the Top 100 Men in Nigeria recognised for their achievements, entrepreneurship, ambition, sophistication and all in all contribution to the development of Nigeria – Raymond Dokpesi, Dr. Newton Jibunoh, Dr Lanre T. Coker, Atedo Peterside, Rufai Ladipo, Wole Soyinka, General TY Danjuma, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Banky W, Samuel Odesanmi, Tonye Cole, Vito Testaguzza, Parakesh Keswani and many more.
It was a highly sophisticated and distinguished event based on a 1920s theme. A few men followed with the theme in bow ties and tuxedos but most men came mostly dressed in regular suits and ties with a handful in traditional attire. To add to the fun of the night, each guest was given a Chivas trilby hat as a souvenir which most of the guests wore lovingly for pictures.
Also enjoyed on display were the different bottles of Chivas Regal: Chivas 12, Chivas 18 and Chivas 25.
Nelson Asika was on hand to officially launch the prestigious whiskey by encouraging the seated guests to sniff and taste the market-leading whisky. Also for entertainment was music by a violinist during the arrival of guests and various dance steps(quick step, tango, charleston) by the Baillamos dance group as the guests were seated.
“We are delighted and privileged to be hosting such a prestigious event at InterContinental Lagos,” said Didier Coeln, General Manager “and we look forward to growing our partnership with Chivas and welcoming the esteemed Nigerian society to experience the newest and most luxurious hotel in Lagos.”
