Have You Read: Alex Fraser’s Open Letter To George Zimmerman [VIRAL]

share on:

Mr. George Zimmerman may have been acquitted of the second-degree murder charges of late Trayvon Martin, however he may not find much liberty in his regained freedom as he will be singled out as another kind of race.

Since the end of the trial that ruled in favor of Zimmerman, there have been posts, protests, comments, tribute songs to Trayvon all over the world.

In this touching Facebook post, Alex Fraser says Zimmerman will begin to understand “what it means to be a Black man in America:” Read below.

Dear George Zimmerman,
For the rest of your life you are now going to feel what its like to be a black man in America.

You will feel people stare at you. Judging you for what you think are unfair reasons. You will lose out on getting jobs for something you feel is outside of your control. You will believe yourself to be an upstanding citizen and wonder why people choose to not see that.

People will cross the street when they see you coming. They will call you hurtful names. It will drive you so insane some days that you’ll want to scream at the top of your lungs. But you will have to wake up the next day, put on firm look and push through life.

I bet you never thought that by shooting a black male you’d end up inheriting all of his struggles.

Enjoy your “freedom.”

    1. i think its a great letter. i sent this to my 3 white children even though they were brought up colorblind. everybody should get involved and become an activist. the parents should not be teaching their children hatred but that everyone is the same regardless of color or status. the jury saw everything through what a white person experiences not through a black person perpesptive. no justice with that jury.

    1. Sad that the young woman was killed, however, it was not racially motivated such as the Zimmerman case. Black men kill black men and woman everyday here in Newark, NJ but it isn’t televised either. Again, the Zimmerman case was obviously race motivated.

  1. I agree GZ will never know what it is like to be a black man or a black child! Trayvon was a child. I sure hope he will know what it is like to have to watch over his shoulder every time he steps outside his home. I am a 60 yr. old white woman in Canada and I was outraged to hear that not guilty verdict. Jury drinking Anthony cool aid? That was a child screaming for help. And for them to brag about getting the gun back was like a spit in the face to the Martin family. If it was me I would never want to see that gun again. GZ is proud of himself and not a bit sorry about what he did. He said so himself.

    1. Bonnie said everything that I have been thinking and saying. I am so troubled how GZ got off on guilty verdict. Again, I agree that was a young boy yelling for help. GZ crossed his boundaries. Again, like Bonnie said, he never apologized for what he did, in fact said he would do the same thing over again. What do you think the outcome could have been, if he would have just identified himself as the Neighborhood Watch Person and to say, he wouldn’t even say that if he could have a do-over, is absolutely appalling to me and many, many others. I love the open letter from Alex Fraser to GZ. Little did he know when he murdered that boy, he will be walking around with the fears that he instilled in Trayvon in his newfound “freedom.” Watch over your shoulders GZ. I think your days are numbered. Kudos to Bob Seay and Alex Fraser for your honest comments. Yes, Florida jury drinking Casey Anthony Kool-Aid or their brain cells are fried from too much sun. Charles McClanaghan, great comment.

  2. Dear George … What have gained by walking out of your house carrying a gun? Nothing!!! But what have you lost by just walking out of your house carrying a gun. You have lost the home that you wanted to protect, you have lost your job, you have been kicked out of school, you may never find a another job, no one wants to be around you, and you have lost a possible friend; Trayvon Martin …. What have you won???? You have lost almost everything …. Your life is ruined …. All because you walked out of you house with a gun. May God have mercy on your soul … Today you are the biggest loser in American!!! How stupid can one man be????

  3. I bet they went to jail didnt they?? Thats justice. U re really misplaced and confused on what is going on. The argument is not because a white guy killed a black guy, its about a white guy killing a balck guy and walking off free…Hope it helps

    1. He walked because he was attacked . I watched darn near every minute of that trial and they got it right.Even the prosecutions witnesses helped prove his innocence. I have never seen that before. Ask yourselves this why didnt tm say anything to jon goode when he told them to stop?????

  4. Dear Mr. Zimmerman, you had your day in court and were found not guilty by your peers. Even though the case was tainted, not only by an aggressive judge and a blood-sucking media, not to mention all the ego-centric celebrities out there who only care about themselves, you had to put up with racists tirades by Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who just want to instill their own kind of hatred and agendas. That being said, you were an unfortunate victim, just as Trayvon was. The incident will undoubtedly carry its own burdens throughout your life. But keep in mind, whereas your case was manipulated (media, black community, celebs), thousands of other cases rarely see the light of day because, well, the media doesn’t want to waste the time investigating. Black men all over America, white men, babies, women are dying each and every day. I hope you can overcome the nasty rhetoric of those biased people out there who only believe in what’s reported. As a black man, I am embarrassed by those who seek to control what goes on in the communities out there, whether via the Al Sharptons of the world or the CNN’s of the world.

  5. Get real idiots! Both tray and zim thought the other had bad intentions. One called police and the other turned to violence. Any of you who think otherwise are plain stupid and most likely a bigot.Go ahead teach your children thats its ok to attack someone because you THINK the person is a gay rapist. You all make me sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
