Over 30 South African Wine producers with over 360 wines from different regions, the Wines of South Africa Grand Tasting 2nd Edition is bound to be WINETASTIC!
The much anticipated second edition of Wines of South Africa (WOSA) grand tasting is only a week away. The event will take place in Lagos on July 19, 2013 at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island from 6:00 – 10:00 pm.
WOSA is the non-for-profit organisation that promotes the exports of South African wines in the international market. The event will coincide with Nelson Mandela Day celebration around the globe and is brought to Lagos in conjunction with the South Africa High Commission.
The grand tasting which is the new song on the lips of wine and hospitality industry stakeholders is said to be the biggest tasting and largest gathering of South African wines in Nigeria. The South African wine industry has showed tremendous interest in promoting trade in Nigeria, which makes the region the best option for wine importers and distributors.
This year, over 360 wines from different regions will be showcased at the event from 30 wine producers; Cape Diamond Wines, Remhoogte Wine Estate, Tokara, Napier, Riebeek Cellars, Asara, Laricmal, The Township Winery, Robinson & Sinclair, Food & Wine Factory, MAN Vintners, Kanu Wines, Vinglo Wines, Bizoe Wines, Sijnn Wines, De Trafford, DGB Wines, Grande Provence Wines, Distell, Overhex Wines International, Ses’fikile Wines, Waterford Estate Wines, Pernod Ricard Wines, Uni Wines, Diemersdal Wines, Oldenburg Wines, Lathitha Wines, Cape Dreams Wines, KWV and Raka Wines.
Some of the brands that will be showcased at the tasting are not yet in the Nigerian market, the tasting is aimed at fostering trade opportunities for such brands and strengthening other trade channels for existing brands.
Wines will be presented in a walk around tasting and guests will be entertained with live jazz and canapés. The grand tasting is targeted at importers, distributors, portfolio managers, beverage and hospitality industry, connoisseurs and consumers. The event promises to be a gathering of wine connoisseurs and elite consumers from all works of life.
This event is being put together and coordinated by Spronks Creations Ltd, the organisers of the Nigeria wine and spirit festival now Nigeria international wine and spirit fair (NIWSF).
