On the 22nd of July 2013 at the prestigious Federal Place Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Africa’s Next Top Model Host and Producer Oluchi Onweagba Orlandi officially announced the date for model scouting in Lagos, which would took place on the 23rd of July 2013.
The #ANTM press launch was graced by people and media personalities of the press in print, television and digital media.
Oluchi was accompanied by the scouting manager for #ANTM, Maria Arrington who said there would be subsequent editions of the show, and they would visit another African country like Egypt hopefully for the second season of the show.
When asked what criteria and qualities they would search for in the girls, both ladies said they would be looking for beautiful girls who also have the right body features and can represent Africa on the whole.
The very first series of Africa’s Next Top Model would take place in Cape Town, South Africa. The last scouting venue would take place in South Africa (Cape Town) at the Cape Town Convention Centre (CTICC) on the 1st of August 2013.
