With only days to go to the third edition of Africa Fashion Week London scheduled for 1-3 August 2013 at Old Truman Brewery, organizers of Africa Fashion Week London are delighted to bring you news of yet another successful partnership, this time with Nigeria’s number one online music platform iROKING.com
As part of the partnership, not only are iROKING and iROKO websites hosting AFWL 2013 on their backdrop, but the iROKING team have put together an exclusive must-have music mix for the biggest African fashion event of this summer.
“Fashion and music are inextricably linked; it’s almost like they share the same DNA. Can you imagine a catwalk without music? I doubt it, and this is why iROKING – Nigeria’s number one online music platform, is sponsoring AFWL 2013, marrying two world-class African creative outlets that we can be truly proud of, music and fashion,” said Michael Ugwu, CEO of iROKING of the partnership.
“It is brilliant to see two African brands working hand in hand in support of each other and making use of this partnership to bring African fashion and African music together to showcase our culture to the world. We are delighted to have iROKING’s support to make the third edition of AFWL a huge success,” said Ronke Ademiluyi, CEO and founder of Africa Fashion Week London.
With Princess Fifi Ejindu, the Nigeria-based architect and businesswoman and Yinka Shonibare MBE, the London-based globally celebrated Nigerian fine artist as patrons, this year’s event once again promises to be a huge success which will see over 100 African designers and exhibitors showcasing their designs at the event, taking place in the impressive Truman Brewery space, just off Brick Lane. This years’ AFWL is set to be bigger and better than ever, expected over 20,000 people to attend the event over the course of the three days.
