Despite the recent offer of amnesty by the Federal Government, terrorist group Boko Haram do no seem ready to end their murderous ways.
They have been suspected in the murder of 4 people, including 2 Islamic clerics and 2 others in the border town of Ngamdu between Borno & Yobe states during the weekend.
The gunmen were said to have stormed the town at about 9:30pm on Saturday in two motorcycles, armed with knives and machetes, tying the hands of their victims to the back before slaughtering them like rams.
A cleric identified as Mallam Sheriff and another cleric, were killed by the bandits, who were said to have also slaughtered two other residents of the town during the attack. (Punch)
With the apparent inability of the country’s security forces to contain them and the amnesty offer, one can only pray that they take the offer and stop taking innocent lives.
