THE MAKING is a fashion project platform aimed at discovering new fashion talents in Nigeria. Currently in Season 2, the project brings together 10 promising fashion designers with aim of 1 winning finalist in 13 episodes per season. The winning finalist gets the ultimate exposure with the help of some of the industry’s movers and shakers. The Designers go through auditions, presentations, photo-shoots with some of the best and well-known stylists, make-up artists and photographers in the Nigerian fashion industry. The 10 Designers in THE MAKING also get a chance to have mentors who discuss how the designers could improve or show case their designs in a better way.
Mentors on the project includes seasoned designers, stylists, magazine editors and writers in the Nigerian fashion industry who share their views from artistic and business aspects- Mai Atafo, Veronica Ebie-Odeka, Franka Asindi, Lisa Folawiyo, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi, Omoyemi Akerele, Folake Coker, Ezinne Chinkata, Ono Bello, Tope Adeboye, Bola Balogun and Mobowale Biobaku.
With stylists like Ezinne Chinkata, Make-Up artistes like Banke Meshida-Lawal, David Onyedike and well-known fashion photographers – Kola Oshalusi, Tobbie Maguire, Obi Somto and more. The Designers from The MAKING get access to a great creative force and it’s how they make this group of innovative individuals work for them all through the ‘competition’ and possibly after that matters.

The Creative Director of Maxivive Couture – Babatunde Oyeyemi was born on the 2nd of January 1992 in Lagos state. Student of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) where he is presently studying Home Science and Management. Through dint of hard work and perseverance, he has worked tirelessly to make a brand name for himself.
Maxivive Couture was adjudged the most Creative Designer at the Model of Africa fashion party, nominated as the cutting edge designer on theYnaija website, and also the most Creative student in Home Science and Management department at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta 2011. The designer has worked with various fashion stylists. Maxivive Couture was the official Male designer at the last Nigerian Idol 2012 and, is gradually becoming a brand to reckon with.
