On Sunday 14th of April 2013, STUDIO 29 – Africa Fashion Week London’s first concession store in Nigeria officially launched to a flood of guests which also included its brand ambassador, Eva Arlordiah.
The store opened its doors at 29 Opebi road, Ikeja. The boutique will be stocking the best of African fashion designers around the globe. Already in stock are brands such as Adebayo Jones, AsakeOge, Zebra Living, Kola Kuddus, Violet Couture, Madmoiselle Aglaia, Nene Kester, Crown hats, Bebe Graffiti, Sally Inteigo, Rosanita Couture and many more.
Later on in the year, STUDIO 29 Boutique would be opening more branches – 1 cottage drive off Durosimi Etti, Lekki ph 1, Lagos and the prestigious Oxford Street, London.
Note: Africa Fashion Week London(AFWL) is scheduled for 1st-4th August 2013 at the Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch, London with over 100 designers taking part and 30,000 guests expected in a much bigger affair than the previous edition.
AFWL is currently receiving applications from designers across the globe keen to reach an international audience in one of the quirkiest fashion capitals of the world. With other projects in the pipeline such as Africa Fashion Week Nigeria and Nigeria’s Next Top Designer reality TV show, the AFWL brand is pursuing it’s vision to expose African Fashion to the world.
