Patient dies after 43 years in Kaduna hospital

A man, identified as Mallam Bala Adamu, has been laid to rest after spending 43 years in hospitals in Kaduna.

A survivor of the 1970 Langalanga train accident, late Mallam Adamu was one of the few survivors, though he sustained injuries to his spinal cord which left him paralysed.

He was taken to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) from the scene of the accident, then transerred to Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital in Tudun Wada, Kaduna South Local Government Area in 2005.

Chief Matron of the Hospital, Malam Shehu Makarfi confirmed Mallam Adamu’s death last Wednesday and that he had been buried according to Islamic rites.
