@missbubu_i at the movies: The Official Summer Movie Guide

share on:

Say what you will but my best part about the summer would be the movie releases. Summer is virtually the biggest vacation that man or rather the government of the world has created in order for people to relax take time off school, or maybe work and just chill. The summer is usually accompanied by travelling, beaches, sun and fun. For me the summer movie season is the highlight of my summer. I usually am too busy to take vacations, but never too busy to go watch a movie.

Before I keep yapping like a rabid dog, let me first introduce myself. My name is Bubu (cue laughter) and I am a Cinephile (noun \ˈsi-nə-ˌfī(-ə)l\: a devotee of motion pictures). I am one of those annoying people that tend to know a lot about the movie industry. For me movie watching is an art, not just a leisure activity. I watch movies not just because I enjoy them, but because somehow they have become a part of my life. Also talking about movies is a conversation starter, everybody watches movies. So, enough about me lets continue to why we are here.

For me, the summer movie season starts May and ends in August, and every year the biggest blockbusters are released around the summer. (Exceptions are movies released in December; case in point (Avatar). This year is no exception, and starting the summer season is our favorite superhero Tony Stark aka Iron Man in Iron Man 3. And the season ends with The Mortal Instruments (a supposed franchise starter but we’ll see how that goes).

I don’t want to bore you with technical, cinematography or all that movie-speak but I’ll compile a list or release dates of all our favorite movies. I’m sure to be at the cinemas every weekend so I’ll keep you updated on what’s really good, and what’s bleh, so be sure to come back and see what I have to say.
