Editor’s Note:  You can call us a digital platform filled with interesting contents, a vital networking portal where fashion lovers can get all their fashion needs, an online destination for fashion editorials, a place where every model stands a chance to kick-start or promote her career to a professional network, or simply a cool brand that loves to inspire people worldwide irrespective of your race, colour or origin, but one thing is certain – not too many online magazines out of Africa promote African models like we do.

It has been 3 years now and we are still at it and one of the most fascinating things about African models is their determination and willingness to succeed. On our February 2013 Digital cover is a model from Burkina Faso who is based in America. Melissa Kyelem is a 16 year old model who is extremely passionate about modelling, fashion and travelling. We got to learn about Melissa from an amazing photographer called Kareem Quow who planned the whole shoot. This month, we will be sharing Melissa’s story as a fresh face in the industry, her expectations, and why she feels “African fashion is so popular in the world today“.

We also get to speak with Kareem Quow to get a few tips on how to take great photos in the studio or in public and he also gives us an insight into how he got the look for the cover. Off course, we have an amazing fashion editorial on a vibrant fashion label “PREBY” as they share with us images from their Autumn /winter 2013, our lifestyle interview with an amazing fashion designer “Asake Agoro“, Model – Vanessa Ogbonna, Designer – Eskado Bird and a spotlight on MTV VJ, Choice FM DJ, and recording artist Vanessa Mdee.Feb 1Hair & Wardrobe Styling: Latrina Godfrey
