Photos: Monalisa Chinda Gathers Stars during Christmas for Project Help: Dance For Life

On December 24, 2012, Nollywood star Monalisa Chinda held the maiden edition of her dance production – “Project Help: A Dance for Life” at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Directed by wiz choreographer – Bunmi Olunloyo, the Dance for Life production was an enactment of contemporary dance by some of Nigeria’s best dancers powered by Bailamos Dance Company

The night treated a delightful audience that included stars such as Desmond Elliot, Kate Henshaw, Segun Arinze, Uche Jombo, Bimbo Akintola and Saeon to a breathtaking atmosphere of sophisticated performances combined with eclectic music.

Monalisa enthusiastically stated;

I’ve been nurturing the dance production idea for quite a while but my several engagements wouldn’t avail me enough time, so I kept developing it. I’ve always wanted a production, away from the norms, where people can experienceclassical recitals at its very best.

While this remains a great way to celebrate Christmas with loved ones, I also see it as a powerful means of awakening the dwindling culture of theatre in Africa at large. We’ve been working on this for a while and it promises to be a memorable atmosphere of unlimited ecstasy, joy and bliss.
