On October 24th, 2012, H&M revealed pictures of its entire Maison Martin Margiela collection.
If you saw the previously released look book, then I’m sure you were as excited by the oversized draped silhouettes unveiled and the full offering is sure to impress.
Skirts come hitched up; soft turtleneck jumpers are draped loosely at the seam; outerwear has an insouciant masculine edge; while tailoring is cut loosely. Accessories span high-top trainers, skinny belts, wedge boots with clear Perspex heels and necklaces with hair lock pendants. If the deconstructed flowing shapes feel a little bold, then the flat pumps with removed heels and metallic clutches offer a way of buying into the label without having to go all the way.
With over 100 pieces on offer (ranging from $15 – $400), the range will most definitely please both die-hard fans of the avant-garde fashion label – as well as shoppers less familiar with the brand.
The collection lands in stores today November 15th , and I’ve selected a few of my favorite pieces to give you a sneak peek.
