Dr May Nzeribe, former Chairman of the Advertising Practitioners of Nigeria, APCON, has died of Prostate Cancer. He died on Sunday in India while receiving treatment for the protracted disorder.
Nzeribe was at the frontline of championing the cause of cancer care and management in Nigeria and played a huge part in garnering support for the setting up of the Port Harcourt Cancer Care Centre.
A veteran of the Biafran war, he devoted his life time to assisting internalising practice standards. His advertising firm, Sunrise D’Arcy, instituted the advertising profession in Nigeria.
At various times, he served the advertising industry in Nigeria and globally contributed to promoting an enabling environment for adequate consumer protection.
