In June 2012, business mogul Aliko Dangote announced that he was creating 2000 job opportunites for University first-degree holders to be drivers of trucks for his company. While the general populace considered it demeaning to be offering such a job to learned people, Dangote revealed that over 13,000 people had applied.
According to Dangote, out of the 13,000 applications received, six were PhD holders. About 704 were Masters degree holders, while 8, 460 were Bachelor degree holders.
If the numbers revealed by the mogul are accurate, then something is seriously wrong in this country. B.Sc, M.Sc, then Ph.D only to become a truck driver? Sad
