Oluremi Iyilade aka DMM aka Oluremi is a soul singer, a Lagos born native of Osun State. Having studied music at home, he grew up listening to Ebenezer Obey, King Sunny Ade and the likes from his old man’s archive. Every thing changed for him when a friend gave him a “tape”, containing different recordings of George Benson, to listen.
From then on his taste in music grew, and he went on to be shaped by the voices of Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, Muziq Soulchild, Maxwell and more. A graduate of Multimedia Training institute (MTI), with a degree in Music production and Sound engineering, he has worked with the likes of Oyinkansola, GT the Guitarman, BrymO and more.
Oluremi [Dmm Oluremi] returns with a new traditionally-rich upbeat song. Not constricted to making purely traditional African songs, soft-spoken Oluremi rather mixes a little of his foreign influence with lots of his Yoruba dialect of music to come out with this soul but folk-inclined song titled Mokan Mokan.
Mokan Mokan, loosely translated as “turn by turn“, is a fusion of African rhythm with touch of soul. A term he coined as “Pop A.soul”. (Popular African Soul). Download and enjoy![audio:https://www.360nobs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Oluremi-Mokan-Mokan.mp3|titles=Oluremi – Mokan Mokan]
