Following the release of her two debut singles weeks ago and the negative reactions that has trailed them, actress-cum-singer Tonto Dikeh is not deterred and plans to release her videos soon.
Speaking in an interview with Stella Dimok-Korkus, Tonto made it clear that she was not bothered about all the criticism that has come her way, and that she was going to continue doing her thing.
When asked how if she felt the criticism was warranted, she replied “I listened to my songs over and over again and I told myself I did well. In all I see only the positivity in it,I made History. Peoples opinion of how my music was has further strengthened my belief that dreams die when you let the next man’s opinion get to you and I am using now to pass a message to everyone out there, if you can just do it. Don’t let anyone’s opinion kill whatever dream you have or try to stop you from taking the next step.”
‘Tontolet’, as she is fondly called by her fans, is delighted by the fact her songs have surpassed over 5 million downloads, and though she’s not coming into music full-time, she’s still shooting the videos for “Get High” & “Itz Ova”.
