Martins, Nsofor Make Top 50 World’s Fastest Football Players

Former Inter Milan players Obafemi Martins & Obinna Nsofor have been named in Bleacher Report’s World Football’s 50 fastest players.

The report, which was made from analysing the players’ sprinting ability, speed with the ball, and acceleration, named Martins in 35th position, Nsofor in 36th and CSKA Moscow winger Ahmed Musa rounds up the Nigerian contingent in 38th.

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott was judged the fastest player in the world, with fellow Englishman Aaron Lennon coming in at eight.

Cristiano Ronaldo was placed at number 14, while Lionel Messi was way back at 31st.

Ivoirian Seydou Doumbia (11th) of CSKA Moscow is the first African on the list while Burundian Mohammed Tchite (16), Ghanaian Dominic Oduro (18), Malian Jimmy Kebe (19) and Waris Majeed Abdul complete the African list.
