Arrests Made Over Murder Of UNIPORT Students

According to the Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Ibim Semenitari, at least 12 people have been arrested in connection with the murder of 4 University of Port-Harcourt students that took place on Friday.

Although the actual details of what happened are still sketchy, it is suspected that the students were wrongly accused of theft and were then lynched by the surrounding crowd. The deputy registrar of the university, Mr Williams Modi, has said the school will release an official statement after it has all the details.
