Already known for his sharp style, Nigerian singer Darey has recently aligned himself with best-selling jewellery brand Tresor Paris – and we’re loving his style at 360Fashion.
The ‘Not the Girl’ singer has been pictured several times wearing the popular crystal bracelets after the brand reported his visit to its central showroom in London late last year. Joined together with his sharp threads, dark glasses and high-collared jackets, the wristwear really pops.
Darey – full name Dare Art Alade – continues to deliver on the promise of his early breakthrough in 2004 with music that showcases his star quality. Last year’s album ‘Double Dare’ saw him come closer than ever to breaking the US R&B market, while continuing to make waves as a multi-platinum selling artist in his native Nigeria.
Darey, seen above wearing two of his favoured bracelets, has come a long way since his early years singing in school choirs. The son of Nigerian jazz pioneer Art Alade, Darey came third in the 2004 South Africa edition of ‘Project Fame Academy’ and has since won multiple Nigerian and African Music Awards.
The singer/songwriter joins multiple celebrities from the urban music scene in flashing their best Tresor Paris jewellery and proves that, for Nigerian men, accessorising is no longer strictly a female concern.
The brand has already attracted the likes of Tinchy Stryder, JLS, Wretch 32 and Lemar among many other stars of the thriving UK urban scene. Here at 360, our eye is on this creation that combines the two colours of the Nigerian flag:Who’s a fan of Darey? We’re keeping our ears to the ground for new material, hopefully in the vein of the killer “Asiko” and mega hit ‘The Way You Are’, so look out for info soon.
