Vogue US Edition – The September 2012 issue (Lady Gaga, and then Some More…)

share on:

When I first saw the cover of the September issue of Vogue with Lady Gaga on it, and the volume of the magazine, I knew I had to have one immediately, that night I dreamt about holding my copy in my arms, and my friend had said to me that there were just three issues left in the HUBS media store in Lekki.

So I woke up the next morning, skipped breakfast and flew to Lekki, lol.  Getting there, I found just two copies left, you need to have seen the speed at which I grabbed the last two copies, and clutched them to me like I was holding my baby so no one would steal her away from me. Loool. This September issue is  super-duper cool, reasons being that it’s their special anniversary issue of 120 years of style, it has 916 pages of great breath-taking images, spectacular fall fashion then it has Lady Gaga wearing an absolutely amazingly well constructed dress by Marc Jacobs,  is also photographed nude for one of the inside pictures were all she is wearing is a bright magenta hat on.

Lady Gaga on her new signature scent: “The fragrance is called Fame. It must be black. It must be enticing. You must want to lick and touch and feel it, but the look of it must terrify you”.

She also talks about her oddities – “I’m a complete free spirit, so, even though you don’t see it, I still find time to have sex at night on the beach when no one’s  around or roll into a bar and get  f***d up and dance with my top off.  It’s just no one ever sees that, because I have great real friends who never let me  do it when I would get caught.”

This issue has loads of great designers adverts and campaigns, from Dolce and Gabbana’s mix of vintage, floral and lace patterned dresses to Lavin’s heavily bejewelled accessories and loads of fashion ideas with lots of your favorite stars, models, editors and designers to make every page one to remember.

I tell you, this issue is a keeper. If you truly love everything fashion and style, then this is the issue for you.
