Two Accidents Leave 47 Dead In China

Two seperate traffic accidents in China have left at least 47 dead in China, authorities said. In one of them, an overnight passenger bus and a tanker carrying flammable methanol collided around 2:30am in Shaanxi province, killing at least 36 and injuring 3.

The other accident occured in the Sichuan province, where a van collided with a truck parked in an emergency lane, killing 11 of the 12 people on board.
