J.E’s PIECES OF ME: Dancing In The Dark

share on:

At night when the lights go down
My smile seems to turn into a frown
Thoughts run into my head
As I lay snuggled up in bed
Sadness overwhelms me
I look left and right, darkness is all I see
I’m lonely and cold
But this story is getting old
There’s  no one to talk to
My feelings all come through,
At once and will not go away
I try to relax but my mind goes astray
I and imagination are in love
So our bond flies high like a dove
Falling asleep is hard, yet I close my eyes
One hand on face, the other on my thighs
I smile for the last time as I lose consciousness
I’m thinking about this whole mess
I’m thinking of a way out
All of a sudden, there’s a blackout…

In 4 words - Confused, Lost, Crazy, Curious, In 3 words - Stinks of greatness. In 2 words - Unpredictably Intelligent. In 1 word - Creative. They say "...deeply erotic and sexual. Evoking fantasies beyond imagination...not your everyday poet. Yet flipping her over reveals another side....a talented and skilled nature decorated by a vivid imagination that turns dreams into ideas and eventually into elegant designs (www.oobejune.wordpress.com). Then again, beneath all these lies a mushy and emotional core....the source of the beauty that is June Ebube. In simple terms, she reflects the persona of a strong woman, the dream of the modern man!"
