The producer and director of one of the most anticipated films of 2012, Hoodrush, Dimeji Ajibola has spoken about his movie, the challenges he faced while directing this flick and how life has been before the advent of Hoodrush.
Hoodrush is a musical movie which features an impressive and vibrant cast of Bimbo Akintola, O.C Ukeje, Chelsea Eze, Gabriel Afolayan, Bolanle Ninolowo, Ifeoma Agu, Lee Lee Byoma and others. The movie was produced from the stable of Flipsyde Studios, an entertainment company managed by the producer. Bolanle Ninolowo is the CEO of Diesel music, they recently signed popular musician, 9ice into their label.
Dimeji Ajibola is best described as a creative entrepreneur with creative and business interests in filmmaking, virtual worlds, animation, cartoons, interactive digital media, and music. His background is a blend of traditional skills and digital art. The filmmaker is adept in creative illustrations, visual layout and staging, project planning and execution.
He Studied Advance Character animation at a school in San Francisco, he also studied Filmmaking and Cinematography at the New York Film Academy and also at the Universal Studios in California. He has other skills in 3D modelling, character rigging for animation, visual effects and the meticulous art of motion capturing.
Speaking on the movie, the director said ‘’it was a challenging project for me as a greenhorn in the full movie business. Movies generally have their challenges, Hoodrush had its own but we were able to work as a team, there were many complications on set because of the storyline and what we were trying to achieve with the movie. I hope the cinema audience like this flick and also the general public as it would be in DVD in the nearest future’’.
Hoodrush will be in cinema from Friday, October 12, 2012.
