THE LUCYLOVE STYLING DIARY: STYLING KATE HENSHAW FOR THE NOLLYWOOD MOVIES AWARDS(#NMA2012)

share on:

Hello my lovelies! I’m back with another feature of my styling diary. Last week Saturday I spent the entire day with Kate Henshaw and the rest of the glam squad, ensuring that she looked every inch a movie star for her HUGE gig hosting the Nollywood Movies Awards.

MEET THE DESIGNER BEHIND KATE HENSHAW’S DRESS

Remay Couture was founded by Ose Amusa-Eke two years ago, an Economics major with a flare and passion in fashion which was further pursued in the London College of Fashion. Remay was born out of the desire to actualise a dream to see her designs in a broader outreach.

Her designs lean towards combining african fabrics with a lot of creative materials. She aims to make Remay the one stop option for all gender and age group types in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

We worked closely with Ose- the designer, to create an unpredictable look for Kate Henshaw. I wanted something incredibly chic and sophisticated but with an edge or a certain quirk to it. Ose completely took the reins and created this masterpiece.

With such a statement dress, I sought out to strike a balance between creating an edgy-minimalistic look. I opted for a gold cuff from House of Nwocha and a minimal gold watch paired with sparkly stud earrings.

Kate Henshaw’s overall look! Notice her two tone nail polish.
