360FASHION STYLE DIARY: IFEANYI NWUNE (DAY3)

share on:

This week, we’ll be featuring risk taking IFEANYI NWUNE.

Ifeanyi Nwune is an Electrical/Electronics Engineering student at Covenant University, Nigeria. He is a  Model, Brand Ambassador for streetwear designer ‘CoolBeans’, an assistant stylist at the recent Arise Magazine Fashion week and currently a stylist/designer with Moda Giovani.  As you can fathom he is fast stylishly making his way through the Nigerian fashion industry. He has been featured in the ThisDay Style magazine and Stylemania for his impeccable and unique sense of style and I must say that it is a thrill to have him featured on 360NoBS.  He says “I love fashion and art in general, so basically anything that relates to both thrills me”, and I’m sure he will thrill you in the next seven days with his sense of style! He is quite the risk taker, in that most of his outfits always have something edgy to them! I’m excited to see what he has to show!

Hi Guys! 🙂

Feeling a bit laid back today, kind of tired and in a lazy mood and you can tell that just by looking at my outfit. LOL

Some of you might conclude that orange is my best colour because like yesterday, I’m wearing it again today but you’re wrong LOL, I just happened to like the fun feeling it gives, like I said initially colours are very spiritual and are directly proportional to one’s mood.

Denim are very comfortable to wear and fortunately for me they are in trend but since I am who I am, having a plain denim  would be too regular so wearing this denim shirt/jacket with plaid pattern is perfect for my current mood.

Naturally, it would be preferable to wear black or red pants/jeans/shorts but I wanted something real bright.

Don’t be afraid to use colours, they are there for you to combine and mix and match so do so; I personally don’t believe that “some colours just don’t go together”, everything goes together, it just depends on the skin tone and fashion sense of the person combining them.  Orange seemed like a risky but fun colour to pair with the red plaid pattern and so I threw orange pants on rather than any other colour.

I haven’t mentioned this before but as a man it would be somewhat beneficiary if you cultivate the habit of carrying man bags or purse of some sort (especially to hide and hold items so your pockets aren’t constantly with unpleasant bulges) and using accessories. I absolutely love the neck piece I have on as well as the bracelets, they have an African edge to them, giving my overall outfit an ethnic aura.

I’m wearing a pair of black tasselled loafers and carrying a black man bag in order to tone down my outfit so it doesn’t look too dramatic; I try to control my urge to experiment with colours and pattern because my university demands a somewhat formal dress code hence why I tend to play down my looks with darker colours. I also carry my man bags/purses and wear a lot of  loafers to keep every outfit fun and classy at the same time.

You could try this look with a pair of royal blue loafers, you will look just as good or even better but try the loafers in suede for a  less dramatic look. And if you would prefer to up the ante a notch, then look to other shoe materials.

Shirt: Freaktion Inc; Pants: Levi’s Jeans; Bag: Vivienne Westwood; Shoes: Mikel
