So today is Funfere’s last day and he leaves us with words of wisdom, I have enjoyed his diary entries and I’m glad I started this with him. (Although, this should have come to you on Saturday…..forgive us all).

Funfere is a graduate student of Domus Academy in Milan. An avid lover for fine art, fashion and the process of creating objects.  He has been featured on over 20 websites and numerous magazines.  He is also the founder of  FusionKelvar which primarily focuses on editorials, product design, product photography, street style and lifestyle.

Today, I will go with a different approach on my blog post, I feel that a lot of people don’t share wisdom anymore and celebrate only triviality. The age of enlightenment has been long lost but how can I join the movement to bring it back?

Please read, share and have a good day.

Note; I am not a fashion icon or someone to look up to honestly, just a young man trying really hard to get noticed for his thought process and design aesthetic. I can tell you I have on a Johnny cupcakes beanie, ASOS floral polo, Ralph Lauren olive pants and handmade Italian loafers but how does that make you more knowledgeable?

I want to thank and dedicate this to Asiyami Gold Wekulom and Nichelle M. Singley, two young women who have made me see a brighter light in another tunnel this year.  Inspiration is sometimes right in front of you, don’t reach out to far to become a better person, just observe the ones growing around you.

We do not receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness which no one else can make for us, which no one can spare us, our wisdom is the point of view from which we come at last to regard the world.  The lives that you admire, the attitudes that seem noble to you, have not been shaped by a paterfamilias or a schoolmaster, they have sprung from very different beginnings, having been influenced by evil or commonplace that prevailed round them. They represent a struggle and a victory.

The problem, often not discovered until much later in life, is that when you look for things in life, like love, the meaning and motivation, implies they are sitting behind a tree or under a rock. The most successful people in life recognize that in life, they create their own love, they manufacture their own meaning, and they generate their own motivation. For me, I am driven by two main philosophies – ‘Know more today about the world than I knew yesterday’ and ‘Lessen the suffering of others’. You would be surprised how far these two gets you.

You have a right to experiment with your life. You will make mistakes. And they are right too? No, I think there is too rigid a pattern –  come out of an education and one is supposed to know one’s vocation. Meanwhile, vocation is fixed, and maybe ten years later you find you are not a teacher anymore or you’re not a painter anymore. It may happen. It has happened. I mean Gauguin decided at a certain point he wasn’t a banker anymore; he was a painter. And so he walked away from banking. I think we have a right to change our course of direction. But society is the one that keeps demanding that we fit in and not disturb the order of things, so that things can work for now and possibly the future.

For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again.

If I had to give you one piece of advice it would be this: Don’t be intimidated by other people’s opinions. Only mediocrity is sure of itself, so take risks and do what you really want to do. Seek out people who aren’t afraid of making mistakes and who, therefore, do make mistakes. Because of that, their work often isn’t recognized immediate;y, but they are precisely the kind of people who change the world and, after many mistakes, do something that will transform their own community completely.

On a final note, Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward into the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence.

I’ve virtually no understanding of programming however I had been hoping
