This week, 360Fashion STYLE DIARY features vintage loving GOLDIE IYAMU.
A Convenant University student, Goldie Iyamu is a budding stylist and designer at Moda Giovani (a fashion line that’ll début in a few months). He interned with ThisDay at the recent ARISE Magazine Fashion Week. He usually tends to dress on the vintage or formal level, achieving the very attractive neat and dapper look. He is quite the dashing individual. I’m so excited to see his diary entries this week!!

I’m normally in formal outfits but today I felt the need to dress down and be a little casual, plus the country is HOT, I can’t be wearing all those blazers and waistcoats and things lol. Yes, I have a varsity jacket on but I have paired it with a simple T-shirt so I don’t combust from the heat. 🙂
The highlights of this outfit are the shoes, Tshirt, varsity jacket and bag! If you notice there is some colour blocking co-ordination between these three pieces, a combination of purple, red, white, blue, and yellow.
The Varsity jacket and bag are matching, the brown shoe laces and brown buckles on my bag are matching, the “F” logo on my T-shirt and my hat are matching(blue) and then the red and white stripes on the jacket and the yellow-orange from the t-shirt serves as complimentary colours to make sure I’m not blending everything in too much. (Over-matching of clothing and accesories is not in trend these days; some colour blocking has to be done.)
The accessories add a nice touch.
Try some form of colour blocking, you’re free to use as many complimentary colours as possible but avoid looking like a clown.
