3 exceptional things about you
- I’m hard-working
- I’m professional
- I continue to work on my craft.
Chemistry graduate turned TV presenter/actress, how will you describe your flair for the camera?
I wanted to perform since the age of 10 but my parents wanted me to get a good education first. For that I am thankful. I love the stage and movies so I guess that’s how my love for entertainment began.
As one of the most admired television personalities, what do you think sets you apart?
I think the fact that I have been trained really helps. Even though I went to drama school, I use those skills in front of the cameras whether it is for acting or presenting.
T.V presenting revolves a lot around appearance. What does style mean to you?
For me style is an expression of one’s self. What you feel comfortable wearing at a particular time and place and it doesn’t necessarily follow trends
What major setbacks have you had in the course of your career?
I think rejection is a major thing I’ve learnt to deal with. Going to a lot of auditions and not getting the job. I keep my head up and strive for what I believe in. I don’t let it knock my confidence cause the next gig might just be mine.
When you are not on screen, what else do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy hanging out with my friends, traveling, shopping, catching up on sleep.
What are some of your favourite things in life?
My family, my job and just being able to get up in the morning and seeing my loved ones. We take a lot for granted.
Zer0ing in ( upcoming presenters and actors)
If you can afford to, train in your field. That will give you the confidence and you get to learn certain skills required to work in front of the camera. If you are truly passionate, do not give up. It’s not all glamorous and you will take a few knocks along the line but determination and hard work will get you far.
