360Fresh: Memo – Dey Call Me ft Temisan

share on:

Ifeanyi Okonya better known as MEMO is a Hip-hop/RnB artist whose soul delved into music right from his youth. Never missed church service, he would listen to and soon imitate the profound choirs, toning his baritone signature vocal. Subsequently, he met and became close pals with Ironverse, a brilliant rap artist, and formed a hip-hop group, Tha District.

This marked the beginning of his lyrics and flows filled journey in 2005, as well as the birth of his Rap alter ego, aside his RnB persona. A graduate of the University of Benin, he attended several shows and concerts, and performed in a few, learning from the then critically acclaimed artists who took to the stage, and forging his own style from influences local and overseas alike: MI, Nas, J-Cole, Lil Wayne, Taio Cruz…to mention a few. In the last quarter of 2011, he enrolled for the Sprite Triple Slam Contest in Abuja under the stage name Rayne, and emerged amongst the top 10 finalists in the rap category. Crawling into the core of the year 2012, a buzz single, ‘Dey Call Me’ produced by Altims, dropped 21st March, where MEMO collaborates with the voice of our generation, TEMISAN, giving flavour to a sure club-banger.

I hope you get this Memo, it’d be a pity if you didn’t Press ►.
