Ides of March is proud to present Blastphemie, the newest act on its outfit. Born on the 8th of January 1993, this 19 year old act doubles as an artiste and producer. Like most people in music he started in church playing the keyboard and drums for the childen church arm of the Latter Rain Assembly and later the Teens Church.
He had his primary Education at Early Beginners’ then attended Airforce Secondary School where he was classmates with HyperTek artiste Dammy Krane.
Five years ago he joined K-Solo’s studio as an intern. Under the supervision of one of Nigeria’s famous producers he developed his craft in production.During his time with the hitmaker acts such as Lord of Ajasa, Timya, Da Grin and others saw the talent in him and encouraged him to continue producing.
Blastphemie whose real names are Oluwafemi Onafowokan started selling demos to upcoming acts who couldn’t write their own material. After
noticing the positive feedback from these demos he decided to become a full time performing artiste as well as a producer.
After his sister, Tehila dropped her first singles last year, Blastphemie is next in line to come out from the family which has a strong musical background. The title of his first single is Jo Dada. As the name implies it is a dance song. This however is just a tiny peek into Blastphemie’s arsenal.
He is currently at the University of Ife studying nothing else than his passion and gift- music. Expect to hear more from the wunder kind in 2012 whether on the mic or on the boards. Projects he is working on include tracks for Kryptic Kids, Tehila, LC and others.
