Meet Babajide Fagbuyi, Born April 24, 1990 in Lagos state, Nigeria. He moved to the United States at the age of 12 to further his education. He is currently attending Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland and is a Junior Studying Human-Resource Management. Friends and Family refer to him as J. Hansome, due to his impressive self-confidence and motivating leadership qualities.
Since childhood, Jide has always dreamed of becoming a musician, always standing in front of the mirror imitating artist like the late Fela, Sunny Ade and even talented Fuji artist pasuma. When he got to the states, he immediately fell in love with hip-hop and right then and there decided to pursue his dream of becoming the best Nigerian-American artist in the world.
He brings a very unique sound to the Hip-hop/Rap scene and in some cases has been compared to American artist B.O.B and Nigerian artist Naeto C. He aspires to become an entrepreneur in the Business atmosphere while leaving a huge impact in the music industry. His inspirations include J. Cole, Jay Z and D’banj. Jide believes that challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.
