Born Clinton Ifeanyi McDubus on November 5, 1992 in Lagos, C-Slake is an up and coming rapper with great versatility…he grew up on the musical influence of people like the The Backstreet boys, 50cent, Linkin Park, Tupac, Nas, Eminem, SixPence Non the richer all belonging to diverse genres. He always had a lovely romance with music right from elementary school where he began playing the piano.

Growing up, he used to write a lot of songs mostly rock and love songs but the deeper rap songs by the likes of TuPac and Eminem always shaped his thinking. Gradually, he got into the rap groove and finally made the decision to take up rap as a career after listening to Drake’s Thank Me Later album.

Currently unsigned, his entry for the Don Jazzy Enigma rap competition got a great reception from fans and critics alike. His lyricism and poetic gifts are his strong points along with his insane energy..in recent time, his music has been fiercely influenced by fellow countryman Wale along with J Cole, Drake, Schoolboy Q, AB Soul, Jay Rock, XV, Meek Mill and most especially Kendrick Lamar amongst others.
